Big Bakery Update 14 Jul 2010

We've finally made a much needed update to the Free Cake Bakery. This includes the above shirt which features the logos of Surroundings, Skin Like Iron, Mature Situations, Virgin Witch, Pellinore and The Banner. It's also printed using discharge ink. They're $10 and quantities are very limited. Grab one while you still can.
A number of new distro items have been added, including records from California Love, Funeral Shock, Pale Creation, The Love Below, ANS, Caulfield, Haymaker, Mind Eraser and Vitamin X.
Go here and give us your money.
Although it was never officially released, we've put the Steve's War demo up for download. The Steve's War demo cassette was slated to be released on Free Cake, but the group disbanded shortly before pressing began. Features members of Pellinore, Troublemaker, Birth Screams and Titus Andronicus. Go to the release page to download.
Out next on Free Cake is gonna be a tape from NJ doom punks Pharaoh. Check out their blog for updates as well as to download their demo. We're really stoked to be working with them, and the tape will no doubt destroy.

Surroundings pre-orders have begun to ship (only two weeks later than expected, that must be a record). If you pre-ordered, you will receive notification when your order is packaged, then further notification once it's actually shipped. If you haven't received any notifications and are getting antsy, relax. It's coming.Next up for Free Cake was supposed to be the Steve's War demo (featuring members of Pellinore, Troublemaker, Birth Screams and Titus Andronicus), but this group of fellows has disbanded. So the demo will be available for free download very soon.
What else is on the horizon? Near the end of 2010 we'll be releasing the final LP from The Banner titled "Born to Ruin". More information sometime, probably not very soon.
There's some more stuff too but there is a time and place for all that. Now is not the time. Bye.
Surroundings Pre-orders 17 Feb 2010
Pre-orders have begun for the Surroundings LP. Head to the bakery or click here.Baltimore's Surroundings offers their most crushing material to date with their debut self-titled full length. After a split 10" with New Jersey's Pellinore and numerous full U.S. tours, Surroundings has quickly made a name for themselves as a pummeling force in the punk, hardcore and metal communities. Surroundings offers 11 drug-induced tracks on this 12" piece of wax, which includes furious speed not unlike Terrorizer or Haymaker, to crushing drone much like Neurosis or His Hero is Gone. If you're a fan of contemporaries such as The Endless Blockade, Hatred Surge or Mind Eraser, you need to hear this record.
Mastered by the mighty Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer) and features guest vocals by Klipa of Trapped Under Ice.
All copies are pressed on extra-thick 180 gram vinyl. Features a matte finish and inner print on the jacket, as well as black inner sleeves.
All copies include a download code redeemable for full VBR mp3s of the LP.
First 100 orders will receive 180 gram clear violet vinyl, available through mailorder only.
