The next release from Free Cake will be a 7" from Virgin Witch based out of California. Virgin Witch is dark hardcore for fans of bands like Ringworm, Burning Witch and Celtic Frost. Features members of Pulling Teeth and Skin Like Iron.

Their 7" should be out by the end of August. It will be limited to 666 copies and will have a screened B side.

In other news, the limited pre-order version of the Mature Situations 7" is sold out. You can still pre-order the standard press though. Head over to the bakery to grab a copy.

We are now taking pre-orders for Mature Situations - "Cracked Pelvis" 7". There are two options available in the bakery, one is for a single pre-order of the record for $5.00, and the other is a package of both the pre-order and standard press of the record for $8.00. The pre-order version is limited to 50 copies and comes on a limited colored vinyl along with a limited alternate cover.

Along with the pre-order there is also a sale on previous Free Cake releases. This sale will only be going on while Mature Situations pre-orders are still available. Also there are a load of new distro items available.

The upcoming 7" from Mature Situations titled Cracked Pelvis is recorded and on its way to the plant. Along with the album cover, some sample tracks from this released can now be streamed via the media page. The first song is called Soylent Old, and I urge you to take a look at the lyrics when you are listening. The second track is not actually on the vinyl version of this release, but only available via digital download (which will be included with every copy of the record). My last update said that all of the Skin Like Iron pre-orders should have been shipped by the end of March. This was partially true. A little more than half of the pre-orders were shipped on March 31st, and the rest of them should be in the mail shortly. So those of you who were quick to the punch at ordering this slab of wax should be expecting treats at your doorsteps soon enough.

The expected May release date for the Mature Situations 7" is looking pretty unlikely at this point. But not to worry, the gears are turning and this one is looking to be funky, fast and a little bit fermented. You should be itching to get your rotten hands on this one.
